In the age of pervasive social media sharing, the question arises: how often do we truly reveal our authentic selves? Addressing this query, my Final Major Project gave rise to the social media app, FEEL-IN’. The primary objective of this project is to empower users to recognise, express, and openly share their emotions without the burden of societal judgment. FEEL-IN’ aspires to foster emotional consciousness, encouraging users to navigate and understand their feelings more effectively.
By implementing Paul Ekman’s method, which identifies and studies Universal Emotions experienced across all human cultures, the app serves as a user-friendly and accessible platform. The overarching goal is to contribute positively to the mental well-being of users by promoting a healthier approach to emotional expression and understanding.
